I’m peeling back the layers of my business transformation – a departure from the rigid, masculine structures that led me to burnout (twice!). This isn’t sales advice; it’s a tale of rediscovery, trust, and the joy that comes when you decide to do business differently. Join me as I spill the beans on my secret weapon, the Prosperity Planner, and how aligning my business with the seasons has brought a breath of fresh air into my professional life. This isn’t just a business makeover; it’s a celebration of reclaiming my power, flourishing and radiant entrepreneurship.

If you’ve ever felt the grip of burnout or sensed the need for a profound shift, my story might just resonate with you.

Like many of you, I navigated the corporate world for many years, and inadvertently brought it with me into entrepreneurship. Treading the well-worn path of a system that felt rigid, hustle-oriented, and undeniably masculine. A lifestyle and a system crafted by men, for men. It took not one, but two instances of burning out for me to realize that I needed to break free from this cycle of self-inflicted lunacy.

A decision to do business differently than ever before

The moment this realization struck, something incredible happened. My confidence soared, and the internal tension and frustration that had been my constant companions melted away. It was a paradigm shift, a surrender to the idea that I could trust my instincts and forge a path that aligns with my values.

Now, let me be honest. Making this decision wasn’t a one-and-done deal. There were moments of faltering, instances where fear and the comfort of the familiar beckoned me back. But each time, I found the strength to reaffirm my commitment to this new way of doing business.

The magic word in that sentence is “decision.” It’s the turning point, the moment when I chose to trust my inner knowing and embrace a business approach that felt authentic to me. And that decision opened up a world of possibilities.

One significant change that has brought immense nourishment to my entrepreneurial spirit is the elimination of conventional business quarters. Instead of adhering to the typical Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 structure, I’ve embraced a more organic rhythm aligned with the seasons. This shift isn’t just a personal choice; it’s a philosophy that has become the cornerstone of my Selling With Soul program, embodied in a tool I call the Prosperity Planner.

In nature I discovered innovation

Imagine this: while the majority is hustling through Q4, I find myself in the embrace of “Autumn” which is my Q3. It’s a season of harvest, a time to reap what has been sown, and it extends until the winter solstice on December 21st. My new year doesn’t begin on January 1st; it starts with the Spring Equinox, the astrological new year, on March 19th, 2024. A season of beginnings, planting seeds, networking and the energy of creation!

The warmth and nurturing essence of this approach aren’t just a concept; they are tangible. By concluding the business year in Winter, I have the opportunity to slow down, to be present with myself, my family, and my community. It’s a time to hunker down and reflect on the year gone by and meticulous planning for the upcoming year.

But what about Broke-Ass January and Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder February, you might wonder? Well, they become integral parts of the process. We lean into resourcefulness, self care and carefully plan the abundant seeds that will be sown as we emerge into the bright, energetic, and social spring season.

This approach isn’t just about a more efficient business model; it’s about eliminating internal tension and the constant friction that often accompanies running a business strictly from masculine energy. When we find joy in our work, when every aspect of our business aligns with our values, that’s when we truly flourish.

Here’s the golden nugget

When we release internal tension and friction, running a business becomes an absolute joy. And you know what happens when you enjoy your business? You flourish. It’s a magnetic energy that attracts like-minded souls, individuals who are ready to thrive alongside you.
